SUMMARY

Under general supervision, assists in performing job assignments. Duties include the care and keeping of parks grounds and facilities.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs routine snow and ice removal.
  • Empties trash weekly or as needed.
  • Picks up litter at parks, community centers and City facilities.
  • Performs general cleaning and maintenance of restrooms and other park facilities.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Some experience performing light groundskeeping and custodial work preferred. Must regularly attend classroom sessions hosted by the Community Development Department and Goodwill.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to work in outdoor environment and inclement weather.
  • Ability to regularly report to work.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement while completing assinged work tasks.
  • Ability to understand instructions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee's work is conducted both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather conditions and in a dynamic environment that requires the employee to be sensitive to change and responsive to changing goals, priorities, and needs. The primary work hours are Monday - Thursday, between the hours of 8am - 3:00pm. Will work approximately 24 hours per week. Pay is 9/hr.
