Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
* Scan material as it is moved from one location to another for proper inventory tracking.
* Operates a forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.
* Use of common shop tools, such as calipers, tape measure, and calculator, are required.
* Determines the method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment; works with custom broker freight forwarder.
* Builds appropriate shipping crates for shipping by road, sea, or air; prepares shipments by assembling, packing, and loading; installs protective devices to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
* Enters addresses and shipment details into the computer system and labels all shipments.
* Inspect material for defects and damage.
* Complete RMA and work with Quality to resolve with the vendor.
* Completes any pertinent customs paperwork for international shipments.
* Maintain accurate inventory by correctly completing issue and receipt tickets.
* Contributes to the department's continuous improvement culture.
* Other duties as assigned

Position Details:
* 4 day -10hr shift, Tuesday- Friday, 6am-4:45pm
Minimum Qualifications:
* 1 year of relevant experience
* Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
* Computer data entry
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Ability to multi-task
* Commitment to work overtime as needed.
* Must be able to read and comprehend manufacturing documents related to the job and all safety notifications.
* Must have the ability to work in a non-controlled work environment.
* Must be a reliable worker with good work references, including a solid attendance history, and must work required overtime, including weekends, during times of increased business.
* Other skill sets and work histories can be considered as meeting some of the above requirements and on-the-job training will be provided as required.
Preferred
* Knowledge of shipping practices of UPS, FedEx, and local trucking companies.
Physical Demands:
* Lifting of up to 50 pounds repeatedly during the day and standing or walking in the work area for most of the day are requirements of the job.
* The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to pick, feel, and/or inspect material. The employee will also reach with arms and hands as needed.
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
* The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
* Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
