SUMMARY:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep production areas clean and clear of debris
- Empty trash in all buildings
- Have an understanding of the various chemicals used and ensure each employee complies with company safety policies
- Clean drains daily and keep them clear of debris
- Production and Warehouse areas are cleaned via power scrubber on a daily basis
- Clean and maintain the coolers. This includes taking out the trash and removing any debris on the floor. The Coolers are also washed completely once a month.
- Maintain all stainless steel doors located in production areas by cleaning them once a week; more often if necessary
- Safely handle all chemicals used. This includes, but is not limited to: Chlorinated Alkaline, Acids, Alcohol Sanitizers, and any other required chemicals
- Clean and maintain hallways
- Keep lunch refrigerators clean, inside and out
- Clean and properly wash trenches
- Wash, clean and sanitize floor mats located throughout the plant
- Wash and change the filters for the swamp coolers located in the building
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Follow all required work safety practices, including but not limited to: Lock Out Tag Out requirements, wearing all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling and fall restraints.
- Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area. Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
- All Cacique employees are expected to produce and promote our products and services in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality / Food Safety Management Systems, Work Safety Programs, and all company policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years experience in sanitation, CIP, or chemical handling experience (preferred food manufacturing environment but not required)
- Good communication skills; written and verbal
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to carry a minimum of 50 pounds
- Maintain a good attendance record
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
