Lodge Manager - Alaska Camp

Description:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Lodge Manager to lead all business and operational activities at our remote camp site in Alaska. This role involves strategic planning, organization, and hands-on management to achieve the camp's operational, administrative, and financial goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, with a focus on team leadership, client relationships, and financial stewardship. The role requires an ability to operate autonomously and manage complex, multifunctional operations in a remote setting.


Job Title: Lodge Manager

Location: Delta Junction, AK

Salary Range: Salary + benefits. Travel covered and booked by site

Schedule: Rotation 4 weeks on 2 weeks off

What's the Job?

  • Organizational Skills and People Leadership: Highlight robust management skills with a strong emphasis on people leadership and supporting team members in challenging environments. Experience in overseeing complex client relationships and managing contracts for profitability is essential.
  • Operator-Centric Approach: Prioritize experience with operators and effective back-of-house support over front-of-house tasks, ensuring a people-centered leadership style that aligns well with Alaska's remote work settings.
  • Site Environment and Remote Work: Emphasize capability to work autonomously in remote, site-based environments like those in Alaska, with a readiness for the unique demands of the region.


What's Needed?

  • Education: A degree or diploma in Hotel/Accommodation Management or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 5-10 years in hospitality or accommodations management, ideally with remote operations or camp environments, directly managing a group of diverse skilled staff.
  • Leadership: Visionary leadership skills with a proven ability to manage, communicate, and inspire across a cross-functional team.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
