Promote Safety. In accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards, take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times. Perform General Physical Activities. Perform a variety of tasks assisting with the operation of the plant, including using hand tools, cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials. Repair and Maintain Equipment. Assist co-workers in servicing, repairing, and adjusting various pieces of equipment throughout the plant. Inspect Equipment and Structures. Perform daily inspections and maintenance of plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations that maximize production and minimize interruptions. Operate Vehicles and Equipment. Operate heavy construction equipment or similar types of cleanup loaders to assist with the plant's operation. Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned. Skills You'll Need: Experience.
