A Patient Sitter is responsible for providing close observation and monitoring of patients who require continuous supervision to ensure their safety. This includes patients at risk of falls, those with cognitive impairments, or individuals displaying behaviors that may lead to self-harm. The Patient Sitter works under the supervision of the nursing staff and follows hospital policies and procedures to maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients. Qualifications. Job Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain alert and attentive for long periods of time. Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism. Basic understanding of patient safety and hospital protocols (training provided). Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions from nursing staff.
