The Family Group Conference (FGC) Coordinator schedules and facilitates Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) meetings/conferences in collaboration with the permanency program.
Serves as support in coordinating family participation and local community support for the family group decision making process and the families involved.
Serves as the support for the Permanency Staff to ensure communication to the family regarding the concerns for child safety and reason for CPS involvement.
Serves as the lead in the preparation and coordination of family participation in the process, and assures all proceedings occur in a manner that maintains the strength and integrity of the family group.
Serves as the meeting facilitator to assist the Permanency Staff in creating an appropriate action plan, which is developed by the family and addresses the areas of child safety, permanency, and well-being.
Collaborate with families to identity if the meeting will be an in-person meeting, conference via phone, or a virtual meeting through TEAMS.
Schedule meetings/conferences with appropriate parties.
Call, text, email, and send correspondence regarding upcoming meetings to all staff, families, CPA staff, CASA, and legal parties.
Document and upload meetings note and ensure everyone receives notes from the meetings.
Ensures clients' rights are protected.
Abides by and enforces established confidentiality policies.
Implements Saint Francis Ministries policies and follows directives as required. Follows and adheres to all pertinent Saint Francis Ministries Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), rules, personnel policies and procedures, related accreditation, and licensure standards; and federal, state and local rules, statues, regulations, and contractual terms.
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be 21 years of age.
A minimum of one year experience in child welfare
A minimum of one year experience with children
Must pass drug screen and all applicable background checks.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
