Assembler Mechanic

What you'll be doing as an Assembler Mechanic:

• Drilling close tolerance holes using a variety of hand drills/power feed drills.
• Multiple types of fastener installations in composite and sheet metal.
• Installs, fits, and adjusts parts or assemblies where difficult installations, alignments or adjustments are necessary while conforming to technical directives/specifications.
• Required to work from blueprints or project sketches and templates with or without the use of tooling jigs or fixtures.
• Experienced Techs should be able to perform most of the assembly operations on all parts of the aircraft as well as fixture and bench assembly operations.
• May require some composite and fiberglass bond layup or repair.
• Can make necessary layouts to fabricate and fit component parts per engineering requirements.
• Works to crew loads and follows written and verbal work instructions.
• Required to perform scheduled/unscheduled inspections.
• Assembly Installations consists of Engines, Gearboxes, Drive shafts, Rotor Blades, Fuel Systems, Electrical harnesses and Computer Systems, Hydraulic Components, and other Systems.
• Functional Testing of Hydraulic and Electrical Systems.
• Performs difficult repairs and alterations per design changes, removing the required parts and making replacements.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To The Role:

• Comprehensive communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Intermediate computer skills - MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. (All daily work instructions, documents, and specifications are accessed via computer)

What You Need To Be Successful:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Aircraft maintenance or assembly experience.
• Formal training from a recognized program considered in lieu of experience.
• Mechanical ability demonstrated from another industry considered in lieu of aircraft experience.
