Position Summary: Supervisor is responsible for overseeing security officers and ensure security officers provide all routine patrol and access control functions including property control. As directed - plans, schedules, assigns, reviews, and supervises field or office operations on an assigned shift; supervises, coordinates, and performs a full range of investigations, patrol, traffic, and/or administrative duties; maintains good working relationship with client. This position works shifts day and night.
Pay Transparency/Compensation: $30.00/hour
Responsibilities:
Qualifications: US Citizen required with a valid social security card. Must possess a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Possess at least one of the following experience/education criteria: (1) minimum of three years armed guard experience within past five years, (2) Three years of military or National Guard (3) Successful completion of a state certified law enforcement education and training or police officer's standard training course. Applicant must possess at least 3 years of demonstrated experience and knowledge of law enforcement or security methodologies. Eight years of practical experience in Law Enforcement and/or Military Special Operations preferred. Applicant must possess a Texas Department of Public Safety (TXDPS) Armed Security Officer license or meet requirements that reasonably assure a Texas Department of Public Safety Armed can be obtained and maintained. Applicants must successfully complete the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR & AED Instructor Certification Course. Possess a valid state driver's license. Successful completion of Security Guard Officer Training and certification(s). Applicant will be required to achieve and maintain an 80% firearms qualification (score of 240 or higher out of 300) with both side arm and long rifle on a standard security/police officer training firearm qualification course(s) semi-annually. Training: Applicant must meet and maintain security guard certifications in accordance with either state or federal requirements. Applicants must have strong writing skills. Ability to prepare detailed written reports and fill out forms. Write and speak clearly and effectively in English. Proficient in Microsoft Office required. Maintain mandated training requirements in accordance with company guidance. Must pass background investigation, physical, drug, and psychological screening, and have no legal disqualifiers to possess firearms, meeting background screening and U.S. Government suitability requirements. Effective in oral and written communication skills with all levels of the organization. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and multiple priorities to completion. Problem solving skills with an analytical thought process. Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Support safety programs. Participate in Quality and Process Improvement programs. Must be able to wear protective body armor as a part of the duty uniform. May require both internal and external facility exposure to changing temperatures and weather conditions. Requires conducting foot patrols and response to alarms in varied weather conditions. 90% of the work will require some sort of physical activity.
