Responsibilities: Operate precision machine tools, including conventional and CNC equipment, to manufacture, modify, and repair tooling, gauges, jigs, fixtures, and dies requiring advanced technical skill. Plan and execute complex machining operations using sketches, detail drawings, assembly drawings, and verbal instructions. Perform machining tasks involving complex setups and extremely tight tolerances using a wide range of precision measuring instruments. Conduct advanced mathematical calculations and write, modify, or edit CNC programs as required to complete precision work. Produce machined components that meet specified tolerances, dimensions, and configurations outlined in engineering documentation. Ensure compliance with Safety, Security, and regulatory requirements, including Federal, State, DOE, corporate, and plant policies. Maintain accurate work records and ensure proper operation, care, and maintenance of machinery, tooling, and fixtures. Participate in work planning activities, including identifying hazards and recommending appropriate controls. Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to labor agreements, operating procedures, and plant-wide policies. Attend and successfully complete required training and certification programs as assigned by Training and Development and Management (including DOE Order 426.2 requirements). Actively participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement discussions. Exercise the right and responsibility to stop work when personal safety or the safety of others is at risk. Provide input and suggestions to improve work methods, safety practices, and the overall work environment. Perform additional duties as assigned in support of operational goals. Required Qualifications/Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Must be capable of performing all duties and responsibilities described in the position. Must satisfy all initial employment and pre? hire requirements. Ability to read, write, and understand job? related written and verbal instructions. Must meet physical requirements of the position as determined through a medical evaluation. Required to have successfully completed an 8,000? hour, Pantex? approved Apprenticeship or Trainee Program directly related to Tool & Die craft work or possess a minimum of four (4) years of relevant Tool & Die experience acceptable to line management, with demonstrated proficiency in all tools of the trade. All qualifications, work experience, training, and education must be verified through documentation and/or direct contact with previous employers.
